My Journey – From Student to German Citizen
On 2nd September 2017, a boy named Pardeep Kumar, also known as DakshDeepy, arrived in Munich, Germany on a student/language visa. I learned German from A1 to C1 within about one year in Munich, then moved to Berlin for Studienkolleg. Later, I returned to Munich to begin my Ausbildung as a registered nurse and started working in a hospital.
In 2023, I moved to Berlin again to pursue my dream of studying B.Sc Nursing. After seven years of continuous hard work, personal challenges, and growth, I proudly received my German citizenship in August 2024—a milestone that’s both rare and hard-earned.
I’ve personally experienced the visa stress, the difficulty of finding a job as a student, balancing work and studies, and the complicated path toward citizenship. Through this journey, I’ve gained first-hand knowledge and experience that now helps me guide others who dream of starting a new life in Germany.
